Team Philosophy
We are so excited to recreate the Webb’s Tornadoes Swim Team! Coach Bill Edward started this team from one swimmer and built it up over the years prior to the Waves merger. We intend to not only get back to where we were before the Waves merger with multiple swimmers qualifying for high level meets such as Seniors and Age Groups, but to surpass that. We plan to cement ourselves once again in the New England Swimming Community, and to treat each other as family. We want our swimmers to be supportive of one another both on and off the pool deck. We want to foster an environment and balance of friendly competition and technique-focused training. We look forward to bringing back many of our old traditions from our Webb’s days that made us a unique and fun community-minded team such as holiday gift swaps, secret psych, Senior/National mentor/mentees and technique nights, and team-building test sets.
